If you consider yourself of Spanish origin, the answer is yes.

Consider it this way...if you knew that being of Spanish origin was going to have a negative impact on your application and you said no, wouldn't that be unethical (possibly a lie)?

That was pretty nice...

i wouldn't lie. i clicked the caucasian box even though im anything but caucasian (no other alt). it was just an interesting way in which the app asked the Q.

Regardless its shameful how an advantage is attained by being the son/daughter of a certain person when all thing should be equal. The advantage should be granted after showing that being a URM or other circumstances made them specifically less privileged.

Firstly, if you have to ask, then the answer is already no. Secondly, spanish people are considered caucasian (as are essentially all jews), so it wouldn't make a difference anyway.

You are completely right to say that there are certain ethnic groups of jews that go back to Spain. My grandmother is one of them. She spoke fluent Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) since its been in her family for a long time.

But again, if you have to ask, then you already know the answer.

Not so subtle start of an AA debate.
