Of the following top law schools, which do you think promote the most balanced atmosphere. I often hear of the rigorous nature of HLS and Chicago and the relatively laid-back nature of UVA. I wonder about the rest of the T10.
You can cast three votes.

Whatever the answer is, I wouldn't let it affect my decision on where to go.

Personal preference, but I certainly would let it affect me a bit. Then again, this goes to which schools fit you best. In a previous cycle I was faced with Columbia v. NYU. The mentality of the student bodies and subsequent quality of life played a large role in my decision.

I know that lawyers aren't good with numbers, but to figure out the best culture in the t14, you probably should list 14 schools...

And apparently some would-be lawyers aren't good with forums...

True true. Sorry about that. I started the thread with T14 in mind but realized surveys on TLS only let you list ten survey items. Apologies.

I was jabbing at 2014 for not realizing the 10 limit on polls.

I can't imagine there is that much of a difference. Everyone says their school is really collegial and they're all comparably rigorous.

I feel like this topic has been debated a thousand times over. And I feel like the best course of action for anyone seriously looking into this would be to research each school individually.

They all say this. But then the HLS and CLS threads during OCI went shitshow, while the other schools remained friendly...

The thing is, law students are assholes, douchebags or both. No school has come up with a way to attract the less-awful candidates. The CLS/HLS probably has more to do with people who honestly believed they were guaranteed biglaw being suddenly and rudely confronted with the fact they aren't, than specific school culture.

There are FEWER strivers, but we are more careful about the rules of English.

Correcting DF's English? Oh honey, don't start what you don't have the endurance to finish.

Maybe, idk. If I go bottom t14 I'm gonna be ruthless. Tight competition usually brings that out in people.

Just trying to be funny in an old English teacher sort of way. I would point out that your second point seems to support an idea somewhat contrary to your first, but I wouldn't want to be insufferable.

Yea but anyone stupid enough to go to bottom t14 ITE clearly doesn't realize what is happening.

I'm really joking. I take English corrections in stride, because I'm embarrassed by them and should learn to stop doing it.
