LSAT Addendum Questions

Post by YankeesFan » Sun Oct 24, 2010 4:22 pm

I want to attach an addendum to my applications to explain my first LSAT score. I got a 161 but retook in October. The only reason I did poorly was because for 2 weeks prior to the test (and for several after I was feeling ill). About a week after the test I was diagnosed with an acute Infectious mononucleosis (aka a bad case of mono). Is this a good case of where an addendum would be appropriate or do you think that the school would think I was dumb for not canceling and retaking when I was feeling better? If so how long should my addendum be? I hope to score 166+ in October, but if I only score a couple of points higher is an addendum even worth it? Thanks.

Definitely wait until you get your new score to see. I think that even getting a 166-170 does not warrant the addendum, since it's not such a significant jump.
