Applying for the GW ED can't hurt you, right? I would imagine that if you apply and are not accepted for the full scholarship ED program, you can still be accepted for regular admissions...right??

Great to hear! I'm a reach for the ED thing but figured that it's my top choice so no harm in trying. I'd love to get it.

Applying ED will probably help in the event you get deferred to RD, because they know you're pretty serious about attending.

Is there harm in letting a school know they are your top choice? Will they be more likely to waitlist you if they know that no matter what, you'll attend?

It never hurts to say that a school is your top choice, but of course they know that ED applicants really mean it with a binding contract!
