Diversity Statement if not URM?

A school asks for an optional essay "that describes how you will enhance the educational environment of the law school and contribute to the diversity of the student body."
I'm not a URM, although I am somewhat non-traditional, and I'd like to explain how I could enhance the school, etc.
Should I take this option?

If you are diverse and can craft a well written DS then do it. You don't need to be a URM to be diverse.

This. URM is a narrow legal construct, but diversity is a very broad thing that goes well beyond it.
