Can a 155 get you into Northeastern...if everything else is strong?

Their 25th is 156. There's not tons of applicants on law school numbers, but I see a handful of green below 155. Most are URM, though.
Verdict/personal opinion: You've got a shot, but not a great one.
I'm applying here too. Best of luck

I was wait listed last year with a 160, 3.85 and I applied early application. You just never know.

That's terrible. I'm hoping for my sake you were YP'ed. Any idea if there's truth to that?

YP is yield protect. Sometimes schools ding (reject) people numbers way above their 75ths because they assume those people won't attend if accepted, thus hurting their yield.

Haha no criminal background. I was straight out of undergrad with lots of volunteer work and some great academic awards. I really don't know why I was wait listed. I withdrew from the list and when they asked me why, I told them it was because a better ranked school had accepted me within a week of my application and given me a $60,000 scholarship. I'm happy with my choice.

Bird2323- my numbers were below the 25th%s when I got in, so it's definitely possible. The best advice I can give is to tailor your application so that it's clear why NUSL's unique characteristics would suit you. One thing that NUSL does differently than most schools is that there are students on the Admissions Committee. The students tend to be the ones that will advocate for applicants with lower numbers if there's enough in the application that makes them say, "This is someone that should really be a part of the Northeastern community." This is one of the few law schools that really look beyond the numbers.

As an alum who used to work in the Admissions Office, I can tell you it wasn't YP, which isn't really a practice of NUSL. Your LSAT was just below median. Most likely it was your soft factors, especially if you didn't tailor your app as I mentioned above. Also, in general, NUSL tends to prefer people with work experience. Glad it worked out for you at the other school though.

I answered all three optional essay topics in my PS. Is it terrible not to write an optional essay? It would be highly repetitious...

It's very possible.
And if not today, there is still a lot of time.

There is definitely still a lot of time! Did you apply early action?
they sent a very torturous email that said "decision rendered" and you had to log into the status checker. longest minute ever.
Good luck to everyone!
