how bad does it look to go down in your lsat score?

i took the june test and scored a 168 (within my range but on the lower end - i was PTing between 168 and 172 fairly consistently. i took the oct test and felt better about it - more calm and just generally more confident. of course there is a possibility that i did worse than last time - as you all know, you can never judge this test with certainty.

i think i did the same or better - how bad would it look to have a slightly lower score the second time (a 168 and then 166)? is it worth the risk considering that i think i did better? or should i just stick with the 168?

i would like to have a reasonable shot at Penn, NYU, UVA and other top 10/top 15.. hence the retake. GPA is 3.57 from a top lib arts school.

any help or advice is really appreciated!

incidentally, when is the last day you can cancel your score...?

THANK YOU

You are out at all of the schools you listed with a 168, so if those are truly your dream schools I think you should probably wait for your score. The only schools that average are pretty much in the top 6, and you only have a shot at those if you do better.

I think the last day to cancel is Friday. Not 100% sure.

I'd just sit on the retake; a 3.57/168 does not give you a reasonable shot at any of the aforementioned schools.
