how bad does it look to go down in your lsat score?

i took the june test and scored a 168 (within my range but on the lower end - i was PTing between 168 and 172 fairly consistently. i took the oct test and felt better about it - more calm and just generally more confident. of course there is a possibility that i did worse than last time - as you all know, you can never judge this test with certainty.
i think i did the same or better - how bad would it look to have a slightly lower score the second time (a 168 and then 166)? is it worth the risk considering that i think i did better? or should i just stick with the 168?
i would like to have a reasonable shot at Penn, NYU, UVA and other top 10/top 15.. hence the retake. GPA is 3.57 from a top lib arts school.
any help or advice is really appreciated!
incidentally, when is the last day you can cancel your score...?
THANK YOU
