I had one of my recommenders send in two separate LOR forms on the same day in two separate envelopes. One was fully processed two days ago and the other is still not posted. Has anyone else experienced this sort of delay? For what it's worth, another one of my recommenders did the same and they were both posted pretty much simultaneously. Slightly paranoid that they were accidentally sent under a single cover sheet by mistake or something...

LSAC randomly holds on to LORs for weeks at a time just to screw with applicants. They don't want us forgetting who's in charge.

In fact LSAC randomly chooses one out of every hundred LORs and then leaves a horse head in the recomendee's bed.

Thanks? In all seriousness, should I be concerned at this point? I just noticed that a letter that another recommender sent on Monday has already been posted, while the second letter from my initial recommender is still missing...

This is why LSAC should just let us see the recommendations.

Agreed, or at least a scan of the cover sheets. Now I'm paranoid that School X will get the letter meant for School Y, etc etc. On a lighter note, love the hyperboleandahalf reference

Just call LSAC. They'll tell you, I'm sure, that it just takes a few days. But call them to ease your worried mind.

Have them fax it. It's much less stressful and usually shows within 2-3 days.

I had the same thing happen to me. It took a few days, but it showed up. If you don't have it in by next Monday I would definitely call, though.
