Hey everyone,

I'm redoing my resume for my applications since I haven't had a use for one in the last four years. Is there a difference between a professional resume versus one you'd use for a part time job? Did you make any adjustments to your resume for your law school apps?

I've always used those lame templates that microsoft works provides...just seems a little weird to do for an application so important.

That has everything you need to know. As long as it looks professional you should be fine.

Except the 1-page rule. Because 2 pages are fine if appropriate.

whoops, guess i shoulda checked TLS first! I did google, but found nothing...and somehow I don't trust the general public conception of a "professional resume", so I figured I'd ask TLS. Thanks guys!

There is an error in that article. I used to edit resumes. It says "Use "I" not "we."" Don't use "I." Maybe it is a new thing but I have been told the rule is don't use I, and use active instead of passive statements. However, a statment of qualifications or an objective can use "I."

Make sure your resume is clear, and simple in format.

The golden rule is BE CONSISTENT. Present all info in the same way.

You are correct, start bullet points with the action verb.
