What are people's thoughts on these schools? Best non-T14 (and UCLA) schools for working in either New York or San Francisco or overpriced and overrated toilets that will get you nowhere? Also, what does median at these places get nowadays? What about top 25% and what does the future hold?

Fordham is the best for NYC outside of t14 imo.
No clue on hastings.

I'd much rather be at Fordham for NYC than Hastings for SF.

This. They aren't really comparable. However, Hastings is probably slightly stronger than UC Davis when it comes to placement in SF.

San Fran COL is higher than NYC, if you are going to live IN the city and not commute from the peninsula. But then Hastings is cheaper than Fordham, so it probably evens out.

IMO Hastings is definitely not a TTT. However, if you compare NY legal market to SF legal market, then compare the numbers of top100 law schools in those areas. Fordham may be the better choice. Since SF is saturated with Stanford, Berkeley, UC Davis, Santa Clara, USF, and UoP despite its small legal market.

Tuition is $50k for Hastings vs $46k for Fordham, with huge fee increases for Hastings yet to come.
