Kennedy School of Government

I am thinking about applying to the Kennedy School of Government (I know, not law school, but people here might be helpful). The more I think about it, the more I'd like to study public policy because I plan to go into politics someday. The coursework, connections and the brand would all be helpful in the future. Also, in undergrad, I got a fellowship that will allow me to go essentially tuition free.
In order to get the application in by the deadline, I need to take the GRE soon. I haven't looked at Math since high school.
What sort of score do I need to be competitive for KSG?
Thanks

I don't understand. You're a YLS grad, have already worked on the Hill and met people there, and you think you need a KSG degree in order to make connections to get into politics? What?

Can't blame him. If I ever make it big, I'll be sure to do the same and even include nude pictures showing my success as a Big Law Porn Star.

Granted my OP comes of like I'm a jackass. I'm not, but I'd really like to know GRE ranges if possible.

I don't think too many people on these boards are going to be helpful. Law school admissions unlike other programs are numbers driven. Try the gradcafe.com for info. But IMO there is a good bit of ambiguity in the type of programs you are applying to. I've heard relevant work experience is important. Why don't you just try calling ksg and see if someone who actually knows what they are talking about can help you. What was your ug major? Can a faculty member from your past to help you out?

Harvard (Kennedy School). Excellent program in public policy. Students take a core of courses in finance, quantitative analysis, and political advocacy and then focus on a particular policy area. GPA of 3.5 and quantitative GRE score of about 700 are expected. Information on this program is available at /Departments/Government/hammer.html
I hear good things about Princeton's program, too. Word of advice, check the profiles of the people who are attending these programs. They have some spectacular work experience. Hopefully you can match up. Good luck.

From what I understand, the MPP is a quantitative degree. You're going to be using stats and math theory.
