Other Schools you are applying?

Post by kartal » Mon Sep 13, 2010 1:07 am

The application forms of some law schools are asking what other schools I am applying to. Some are even giving you a specific school list. How should I answer such question? What is the pros and cons? Please advice on the right approach. Thanks.

I don't answer it if it's not mandatory. I doubt a large difference is made one way or the other.

I'm answering, though with a bit of nervousness regarding whether or not it will hurt my chances. I doubt they put too much stock in that question though.

Bump. I'm curious about this myself.

I've answered the questions, but I only write in the schools that are of the same caliber as that school. I figure that at the very least, they'll know that they have some type of competition (in my mind I'm hoping that helps with scholarships and/or knowing others may possibly be interested) although I'm beginning to think that it probably has no impact.

I'm considering leaving it blank, though.
