There's no question that, in the long run, you would be best served by putting some more distance between you and your old scores, as well as your grades, and earning some awesome new recommendations and work experience.

I know people hate to wait, but life is journey, not a race. One year isn't going to put you behind anything, and will most likely make a big difference in your prospects down the road.

Your numbers wouldn't keep you our of law school... only out of the top law schools.

So if you want to be a lawyer you should really just suck it up and go to the best school you can and then try to work your tail off and finish at the top of your class.

I would think that you were a slacker in undergrad, you go the grades to show for it... you then got grades worthy of a slacker in grad school... do you really think that the admissions will think oh... he was a slacker in undergrad and then again in grad school but those days are over? I just don't think that will happen. I might think you would have a chance if you had skipped grad school and built up a healthy work resume to put on there... admissions might have given you the benefit of the doubt for some slacked youth.. but you can't as easily claimed dumb youth when you slack in grad school... and my experience with grad school was that grades were way inflated with hardly anyone getting below a 3.5 because Bs in grad school are almost a given

Perceptive, you are. My impatience wanted a second opinion.

Also, not my experience due to incredibly difficult foreign program. Two people out of thirty attained >3.5.
