How does transferring work for PT students?

If a PT student transfers to FT at the end of their 1L, will they have the credits to transfer out of their school? Do outside schools view them and their grades less highly because they were PT?
Here is a hypothetical to make the question more clear: A PT Gtown student does well 1L and transfers to the FT program after completing the necessary summer semester to catch up with credits. Are they eligible to transfer to a T6 school?

It depends on the school. Schools view transfer apps differently. You won't be able to transfer to some schools because you won't have enough units. On the other hand, some schools encourage PT transfer apps.
Your hypothetical scenario wouldn't work. You apply to transfer at the end of your 1L year, no way that you could have done the necessary summer work to transfer to FT.

Some law schools allow 1L PT to 2L FT transfers, but most don't since they require a full year of credits by the application deadline in June/July. You'll have to check each school's web site for credit requirements and app deadlines.
