Top Law Schools

After I received word from a recommender that they would agree to write me a LOR, I got carried away and mentioned that "now I have 4 solid LORs going into what appears to be a very competitive cycle." In retrospect I should have refrained from mentioning I have 4 "solid" LORs, because now I come off like a jack@$$

Yeah, that wasn't smart. But you have 4 LORs. So either trust that they're gonna give you a good one or "just" send three.

The whole email was nicely worded though. It was a well put together email except for that. I really hope she overlooks that.

Ah. Then you're probably worrying too much. If it's someone that knows you well enough to write a good LOR, then they probably won't write a bad one just because they feel less special now.

I don't think they felt special to begin with unless it was their first recommendation request. In that case, it probably wasn't that sweet anyhow.

Why do you even need 4? If you are worried this guy will fuck you, don't use his. You already have 3.

I have 2 academic and 3 professional LORs...Hers is 1 of the Academic ones and just so happens to be for the 2 hardest courses I took for my major (Critical Theory, Marxist Theory). If there were any classes that tested my analytical skills its those.
