When do I need to be back to start law school in 2011? Forum

Hi. I'm planning to teach English abroad for the next year. I'm working out my contract now. I'm supposed to teach for a year upon arrival but I need to make sure it ends before I would start law school in 2011. I'd like to know when is the earliest I'd need to be back. I imagine it would vary from school to school, so I'd like to be safe. Thanks!

a couple days before orientation is probably the closest you want to cut it.

Right now my contract goes to Aug. 15. Would that be okay for most schools or should I beg to finish a week or even a few days earlier? Worst case scenario is I have to use my vacation at the very end. I'd rather not do that though

You should call each school to see their start time. It probably varies a lot.

You might have to save that vacation time then. Some school's make orientation mandatory. But Hannibal has given the most appropriate solution to the problem.
