I am living in Florida and grew up in Europe; therefore, I am not familiar with schools' reputations. Can anyone tell me good and bad things about Albany Law School?

Thanks!

I wouldn't go there unless you are from Albany or the surrounding area. It mostly places locally.

Glad I posted this question; I wish I knew more about schools' reputation. It may not say EVERYTHING about a school, but it still says something. There is a reason that it is not well seen.
Thanks!

Please understand that most people on TLS think every school ranked below Tier 1 is a "horrible law school".

Right now I have a 3.3 (working full time and going to school full time) and I am going to take the LSAT in October.

A better assessment may be that law schools below tier one offer fewer job placement opportunities.

You'll need a minimum of 167 to have a decent shot at good NE schools (BU/BC). Get a 170 and you'll have a good shot at Cornell.

Stay far away from Albany.

Thanks a lot :-) This forum is the only way I can get reliable information about these schools. I appreciate you helping out :-) I'lldef do my best on the LSAT!
