Explaining Withdraw on transcript

I took a photography class junior year as my easy class and three weeks in decided it was taking too much time away from my other classes to earn a B-.

It shows as a W in my transcript. This is my only withdraw. Is it necessary to explain it in an addendum?

Hm, I had a withdrawal from a calculus class on my transcript, and a P on a game theory class. I don't think it affected my cycle much, as I got into all my targets and got dinged from all my reaches.

I don't think you need an addendum, and if you do attach one, just make it really short and say you really weren't interested in the class and it was taking too much time away from your other classes.

What ever you do though, for the love of God don't admit you were going to get a B- in photography...

A single, nonpunitive W? Don't write an addendum.

Irrelevant. Adcoms are swamped with applications. Do you really think they will have time to microanalyze your transcript? Usually they will look at your LSAC GPA as well as your LSAT (and maybe your UG institution for the T14) aside from that no one will notice.

I think you only need to explain of you have an abnormal number of Ws (like, over 10 or something). 1 or 2 is perfectly fine and normal.

Yeah I would say 2 to 3 nonpunitive W's is probably the norm for most transcripts, no need for an addendum.
