Should I apply to northwestern?

3.49/173 As a splitter I had planned on blanketing the t-14 from CCN on down. Right now I am looking at a list of 17 schools. I am wondering if I should apply to northwestern with their $100 app fee. I am straight out of undergrad and feel that given northwestern's reputation I could be throwing away the app fee. If I end up getting a fee waiver I will of course apply, but barring that, do you think my chances of admission make it worth paying the app fee?

Chances are good that you'll have a fee waiver with your LSAT score.

And probably a WL decision. Punch your numbers into LSN....reported acceptances this cycle with your numbers have all been WE candidates.

I mean that is what I am talking about... Am I so likely a WL that it makes paying the 100 not worth it? (if I have to)?

I'd personally apply. You aren't really a strong candidate there, but I heard anecdotal evidence that they strongly desire applications with high LSAT's, especially 173+. If you're interested in going there, I would throw them an application. It's only ~$80 (or whatever it is). If you're not interested in going there, don't apply.

Not sure if anyone on this thread knows, but does Northwestern do merit-based fee waivers? I heard that they sometimes do hidden waivers? Does anyone have an actual answer?

I'm in a similar position as OP as I'm applying to attend straight out of undergrad, and I'd rather not spend the app fee if I can avoid it.
