How does it work when you retake the LSAT after you already sent in your applications? Do schools automatically get an update on your new score or do you have to contact them about it?

I'm retaking in December and I want to make sure that schools become aware of my score as soon as it is published.

Every school you applied to automatically receives your new score. Also, every application I've seen asks for all your past and planned LSAT dates, so they'll be aware that a new score is coming.
