Do you all recommend having your LORs personalized to each law school or just have general statements like "It's my pleasure to submit my highest recommendation for John Smith into law school."

The second. The schools understand your recommendation writer is busy and doesn't have time to write 20 different letters for 20 different schools. It's fine.

I wonder the same thing. Obviously it's fine to have general statement, but does it help any more to have a personalized LOR from an alum? For example - have a professor who went to GW who offered to write me a LOR. Should I have him write one specifically for GW and maybe one general? On that note, can you have two LORs on file from the same person? (Sorry OP, not much help, but I had related questions.)

Yeah you can have professors write more than one letter for you.

I think it def helps a little to have the letter personalized to the school. I didn't, because I didn't want to put that much work on my recommenders, but I would still think it's be better to have them personalized

Don't put your recommenders through the trouble. It will have negligible effect. Also, just to play the grammar nazi, it would be "customize." You can't personalize something to an organization.

180. I read OP's topic title and didn't understand how an LOR from a single recommender for a single applicant could be anything but "personalized."
