Figured I should ask this, just in case.

My sophomore year I was put on judicial probation for two alcohol write-ups in one semester. It was just possession, but how badly will that affect my application?
I plan on writing in my personal statement on how my I helped my father deal with his alcoholism, combined with my alcohol infractions, would that be the wrong topic?
