Just got score today! 168 3.2 gpa . . . can i Pepperdine?

Quick question. Should be easy for the savants here. Shoot from the hip. I've already seen lawschoolpredictor.com, would like some human feedback.
Me:
168 June LSAT (one and only)
3.2 BA GPA from a Cal State
3.4 MA GPA from a Cal State
Pepperdine:
162 Median LSAT / 163 75th percentile LSAT
3.6 median GPA / 25th - 3.4 / 75th - 3.8
Will I be accepted?
Will my higher than average LSAT make up for my lower than average GPA?
I've heard that Pepperdine is a "GPA school" on a couple occasions.
I've heard that they do not consider grad school GPA but only BA GPA.

I guess the least I can do is answer your question. So: Yes. You can (and likely will) get into Pepperdine. What about trying ND, I hear they've got JC playing quarterback next year.
Seriously, though, you've got a shot at ND. Maybe a thought...
Otherwise, good luck and enjoy Malibu!

He can't be playing QB and indicating TDs . . . per NCAA rules.

You can do significantly better than Pepperdine (and should), but you'll get in with some good money, I would imagine.

Well, you've got me there!
Apply to some peer and higher ranked schools to use to negotiate a higher scholarship from Pepperdine, at least. But yeah--Enjoy the sun.

At Pepperdine you will find religion but not Our Lord.
. . . can you vague this up a little?
. . . is this about you having a Budha statue in your apartment with a roach clip on it and then you saying 'god is . . . like . . . everywhere man' ?

Why not Regent? It's run by god's chosen prophet, Pat Robertson. If you took Satan's influence out of the US News rankings, Regent would be T14 fo' sho'.

What a waste of a post.

You would have no problem getting into Pepperdine. Are you CoC?

I just think it seems a little silly to make such a major, life-changing decision based upon where you think your imaginary friend wants you to go, especially if you can clearly get into better law schools.

^ lol -
to OP, do you really need to go to a law school that is heavy on the religious side? it wont necessarily make you a better lawyer or improve your chances on getting a job in the real world. You can probably get into a better school and still maintain your religion on a personal note - and have possibly a better trajectory for your career.. Just a thought.

And to think... it's always the Atheists and Agnostics that scream "bloody murder" when Christians criticize their views.

By all means, feel free to criticize me for not believing in magic and superstitions, and for possessing a rational outlook and demanding evidence as to claims of a personal god that grants wishes and writes books. I promise I won't "scream bloody murder."

Should I then demand evidence of claims that He does not exist? You, after all, made the charge that He is "imaginary." Don't worry... I'll wait.

Funny. But I'm not trying to engage in an ideological debate here. I never even said I was a Christian (although I am). I'm just pointing out how ridiculous Case2L's statement was and that the disbelief in something does not give one a license to criticize those who have opposing views.

I don't believe in criticizing other's views either, but I think Case was valid in saying it is a little ridiculous to base where you go to law school on an ideological view (ESPECIALLY when you are choosing a school that is worse than where you could go).

As much as I love debating theists, I'm sure the rest of the TLS community would appreciate that I not hijack the thread anymore than I already have. But, you should not be the one demanding evidence. You're the one making the extraordinary claim, not me. Of course I cannot present evidence of the nonexistence of god; that would be trying to prove a negative. I can't present evidence that there are no unicorns, fairies, or bigfoot. Atheists don't pretend to know things which they do not know, they just look at the presented evidence, which is typically a book written somewhere in the Iron Age and subsequently translated a few hundred times over, and say, "sorry, not good enough." I certainly see no evidence of a personal god that cares where I attend law school. If he does, he would have bumped my LSAT score so I could have attended the real Harvard, and not the Harvard of Cleveland.

Wow. Your lack of comprehension amazes me. First of all,
you should not be the one demanding evidence because it was you who had the extraordinary (and initial) claim that God was "imaginary." Not me. So you can take your bullshit evasive, blame shifting tactics somewhere else because I'm not buying it. Not only did I not make the initial claim in this argument, I also offered no objection to your statement. My initial response simply implied that it was wrong of you to criticize OP's beliefs. If you can't present evidence of the nonexistence of God then don't make the claim that he doesn't exist.
Of course I cannot present evidence of the nonexistence of god; that would be trying to prove a negative. I can't present evidence that there are no unicorns, fairies, or bigfoot.
Exactly. Which is why you shouldn't be saying He is imaginary. Just because His existence hasn't been proven does not mean He does not exist.
Atheists don't pretend to know things which they do not know, they just look at the presented evidence, which is typically a book written somewhere in the Iron Age and subsequently translated a few hundred times over, and say, "sorry, not good enough."
Really? This is exactly what you did when you stated that God is imaginary when you have no way of knowing this. The rest of this is gibberish so I have no clue what you are trying to say. Seriously... stop.

Fair enough, and maybe I went about it the wrong way. However, I don't think the OP's reason for attending an inferior school in relation to his LSAT should be immune from criticism simply because it's a religious belief. If the OP said he wanted to attend the Univ. of New Mexico because it is closer to Roswell, and that would please his alien masters, and he was 100% sincere in his belief, people would jump all over him and/or assume he is insane. But when he insists his reasons are because of a personal god, which is no more believable than aliens, he gets a free pass. I'm not the first TLS'er to criticize a stupid decision on where to attend law school. I've seen criticisms on this board that are far more virulent than anything I've said in this thread.
