Quick stats. GPA 3.9, LSAT 167.

Regular softs: volunteer service, work experience, and masters degree (4.0).
I want to ED to UVA, Penn or Michigan.

Which university puts the most emphasis on the ED process and which one do I have the best opportunity to gain admissions to?

The one you want to really really really really want to go to. It's an all or nothing, make the fucker count!

But, if you really want me to answer that for you, go Cooley!

If I were you and I were going to ED for sure...of the three I'd do either Penn or Michigan (probably a slightly higher chance at Michigan), then if it doesn't pan out ED Virginia (their ED deadline isn't until Dec. 15th so if you ED early to Penn or Mich you would probably hear back by then).

Keep in mind though that if you re-took your LSAT you could possible get admit w/$$ at these schools or a chance at HS.

Edit: You might also consider Northwestern ED

Thank you for your response. I was thinking Michigan too, but I've read a lot of threads in this forum and people have given UVAs' ED a lot of weight.

Well, I'm torn between all three, each has aspects that make them attractive and for different reasons. There's no clear winner for me.

BTW:
Cooley rejected me before I applied. From what I understand is that their minimum admissions requirements are in the 170+ range with at least a 3.95 GPA and a letter of recommendation from the Japanese Prime Minister or a similar official seal. Not sure if that is true or just internet talk.

You have a decent chance at any of MVP, so you should pick your favorite.

What cities are you considering working in? That could help narrow it down.

I am undecided on where I want to work. I have never lived or even been to a big city like New York or Chicago, so I am worried that I will not like it. I know that Las Angeles is a big city but it is spread out, however, Californias' economy is scary right now and I am worried about that as well.

I think out of all the major law markets I like D.C.

But I like corporate law, I eventually want to work in Mergers and Acquisitions for an investment bank or venture capital firm and I know NY and Chicago are better in terms of job opportunities for that.

I wish I knew because I would have been able to at least pick a region.

I know I called their admissions office but they were too "high and mighty" and when I asked about my chances they laughed at me and said "we are a top rated school, we can't accept everyone...." I know I was surprised too.
