So my resume is quite ugly looking. I made it using open office's word processing program. How can I make it more visually attractive? Also, how can I convert it to a .pdf, so I can send it to my LOR writers.

Thanks in advance.

As far as style, look at examples from school websites. I don't know what it currently looks like so I can't make specific recommendations.

1. Add a bold line under the header
2. Use more bullets so the page has better flow
3. Add a border

If you are using Office 2007 you can convert to pdf by clicking on the windows logo in the upper left corner and clicking save as and there should be a selection of pdf

Should you have it in pdf when you send it to LSAC/schools?

Thanks guys. Basically it's just really plain and ugly looking. I'll go look at examples and try and make it more visually pleasing. Thanks again.

No clue. Do you send it to LSAC like other documents?

No, LSAC will convert a Word .doc to PDF for you when it submits your app.

Your letter writers can't view a Word document? Do they live in 1996 and use Wordperfect?

One has a Mac, the other I have no clue. I just figured pdf was just the easiest, and safest format.
