LSAC has already recieved my transcript, but I am taking a Summer class. Will I have to send them another one when that class has ended? Could someone get away with not updating it after the Summer (for example: if it hurt my GPA)?

One could, but it depends on When You Apply to Law School as well. Like if you take the December test you are almost certainly gonna have to update your transcripts because when you get your score, the Fall semester will be over and you'd have an entire semester of grades unaccounted for (which would look suspicious). Just do it after the summer; it's really not worth it to not do it, plus, I doubt a bad grade in a 3cr. course would damage your GPA that much.
