Will my undergraduate school help?

I went to UVA undergrad, had a 3.0 and got a 162 on the LSAT. I realize that this puts me way out of anywhere in Tier 1, but will going to Virginia make my GPA look any better, or is it not a good enough school / not a big part of the decision.

UG is an almost nonexistent factor unless it's Ivy-caliber, and even then it's a tiny boost. IMO UVA does not qualify for any boost.

That's what I figured, appreciate it.
I'm from Vermont, but am looking mostly in the Southeast, any idea where I stand at
Alabama
Georgia
Tulane
Florida
Indiana
Kentucky
Tennessee
LSU
Denver
Richmond
Miami
South Carolina
Ole Miss
Vermont
John Marshall
Any other schools I should look at if I'm at 3.0, 162?

How hard did you study for the first LSAT? If you can manage a 170, UVA Law might take you.

Relatively hard. I'm off to volunteer in Africa for the rest of the year, and am going to stick with 162. I think with Africa and 2 years of work experience I've probably got the softs taken care of, but am still concerned about not getting into any of the schools listed.
