I want to work in chicago when I finish law school, i have a 3.2 GPA from a TOP undergrad school and i got a 170 on my last practice LSAT. What ar emy chances???

Impossible to say without a real LSAT score. come back when you have one; results from a single practice test mean next to nothing.

its not just a single practice test, my last one was 170 also

even assuming that your practice test correlate 100% with your actual results then with a 170/3.2 you are an auto-reject at Chicago. check out LSN. TOP undergrad doesn't matter in the sense that it will not help you. you are going to have to aim higher on the LSAT for Chicago.


btw, my practice tests averaged 171, with many being higher, and on the real LSAT I got a 163.. twice. practice tests =/= real results, ask anyone who has been here sometime.

3.3/177 is a reject from Chicago. I'm afraid your chances are slim, unless you are a URM.

You have a very good chance of working in Chicago as it is a pretty big city. I can't say what you'll be doing, but there is a job for you.

If you have a couple years work experience you'd stand a good chance at NU with a 171 or above.

Oh, ALL the schools? Well, assuming all your applications are in early (before December) and you have a 170 LSAT...

Chicago - Reject
Michigan - Probably reject
Northwestern - Reject, unless you have work experience and you Early Decision, then you have probably a 50/50 shot
Illinois - Decent shot
Notre Dame - 50/50 probably, they are tough to predict
Loyola - Probably admit
Kent - Admit
DePaul - Admit
John Marshall - Admit

There are countless other schools that attempt to break into Chicago (Iowa, IUB, Wisconsin, Minnesota, etc.), as well. You have a decent shot at all of them, too.

You won't get Chicago, Michigan, or Northwestern, but Illinois is a virtual lock with a 167+.
