Top Law Schools

Hey everyone. Is it worth applying to a school where your LSAT is at the 25 percentile or between the 25-50th percentile and your gpa is above the median?? Chances better with ED?? This is directed at schools like that of Pitt Law.

Actually I take it in June, that was just my most recent PT. I am raning from 157-163 and was just thinking about hypotheticals really. Any suggestions for last couple of weeks in prepping??

I have been taking one full length practice test a week and then about 1.5 tests during the week (timed sections). It is just really hard with working a full time job 8-430...kinda exhausted right now.

How many full timed practice tests have you done? And if you have also been doing individual sections, how many total tests have you done including these as well?

Honestly I have lost track, I know i have been taking 1-2 full practice tests every weekend since october...and i went through the Powerscore LR Bible, LG Bible, Kaplan Prep, Barron's Guide, and the most recent 2 Official 10 LSATs books... how many is that haha?

I just can'twait till its over. My scores aren't consistant at all and varry with the test, kinda frustrating to get a handle on what my score will be like but oh well. Also, my girlfriend hates it when I get upset over a lower than average PT and thinks i spend too much time on this crap...

Think long and hard about applying ED. If you get in without any financial aid, and then get a nice scholarship package somewhere else, you won't be able to take the latter option. But if EDing at this school is your only realistic shot at attending a school with viable career prospects, then go for it.

EDIT: Now that I know it is Pitt, think extra long. I just met a guy who graduated from Pitt last year who can't find a job. He said several of his class's law review students were also unable to find jobs. Anecdotal, but probably not false.

She's probably right about you getting too upset (and telling her about it, she probably is sick of hearing about the LSAT), but wrong about spending too much time. Outsiders often can't fathom how much work this test requires nor its potential impact on the rest of your life.

No excuses.

Any advice on how to spend the last week or two before the June test? Study schedule suggestions??

Of course you have a shot. When you think about it, if only people with median or above-median scores applied and got admitted, then that wouldn't be the median anymore. Apply ED definitely boosts your chances. With regards to getting scholarship money, I won't say anything to raise your hopes.
