How minor the offense was is irrelevant, all that matters if it was disclosed IF disclosure was required. In this case, I don't think it was. I didn't fill out the application, you did, so only you can go look at the wording and see if you did all that was required. There's no super secret to all of this. If you were convicted of a minor traffic violation 10 years ago, and the app says only 5 years or more recent, than what are you worried about? It's right there in black and white that you're fine. The dorm room thing . . . look at what the application asked for, and take it at face value. It sounds like you were never actually in trouble, and I doubt the application asked for accusations, only for convictions (if that's the right word for dorm troubles). You're fine.
