Is this how the LS admission process works?

My job is hosting a workshop for industry professionals and we received hundreds of applicants. I was tasked with creating the database, entering in all of the apps, creating a schedule for review (about 2-3 people go over each app; more if necessary) and that also includes scheduling a time to view the accompanying dvd/work sample reels that were required for each submission. Today my boss sent me back an email/notes from round 1 of reviews and the selection committee and there was a small column marked 'diversity' with check marks in respective categories (B=AA, A-Asian, H-Hisp...and a few for geographical diversity HI, Alaska) on the spreadsheet for each applicant.

Now I've sat in on some of these review sessions and there were other applicants with a better quality of work than SOME of the ones in the diverse category - i'm just curious if anyone thinks that law schools use a similar process?

Actually no.

Not /thread.

I hope this thread becomes like the infamous Law Students? thread http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &t=115724.

That was hilarious.

They glance at the candidate's LSAT and most of the time toss it in the special file cabinet.
