I got a D and an F during my UG..All my other grades are As and Bs. Do you think having a D and F will hold me backfrom t14 schools even though my GPA and LSAT is still respectable ? (3.4-3.5 range and 169)
Thanks

Yes. If you've ever had a D or F in your life you probably won't be able to get into any law schools. Sorry.

Were they in the same semester or spread out over a couple of years? If they're in the same semester you might be able to write an addendum about what happened/"what you learned"/all that fun stuff. I had a similar scenario and ended up with an LSAC GPA of ~3.3 and was able to get into a T10 school (although my LSAT definitely helped).
If they're spread out over a significant amount of time (i.e., one was second semester freshmen year and the other was first semester junior year) you might have a harder time making a case for it and it hurt you a little, but I think even then the damage would be minimal.

It was the same year.

Depends. For example, a "D" & an "F" in physics & organic chemistry during your "pre-med stage" is readily understood by many. If the low grades occurred early in your undergraduate studies or during a difficult time in your life, then it is more palatable to admissions officers than if the bad grades were recent & without reasonable justification or excuse.
For which courses did you receive these poor grades? And during which year? And why?

Do law schools factor in individual grades or just the cumulative gpa?
