non-T14 get you these days?
From GWU down through say UC Hastings. If you say "shitlaw", well what is shitlaw? Doc review? Are they getting jobs that Cooley grads would normally take?

In a thread yesterday, someone claimed that when the eceonomy was good, he knew of several UMN grads "underemployed" and making $18-30k per year. And that's a school that's always been at least T25, and often T20, and a school that dominates its region like few do...
Yeah, I think it's not good out there.
Did I mention that said anecdote took place pre-ITE?

I know quite a few median UF and FSU grads pulling 60-70k.

Pretty much everything in the spectrum, everything from big law to unemployed.
If you're talking about the most common type of job, I'd guess small to mid sized law firms.

I'm the guy you're talking about. I know a couple attorneys, both of whom graduated from Minnesota, who barely practice law and/or work odd jobs (e.g. Starbucks) on the side. I don't have any idea how much money they make. I also said that it seems low-level law jobs pay in the $18-30k range, which anyone can confirm by asking attorneys and looking at Craigslist. I have no idea how much money most median grads at Minnesota or any other similar school makes.
There is no quick answer to the OP's question. It probably depends on your friends and family connections, how attractive you are, if you have a specialized technical background, perhaps whether you're a minority, etc. Luck is important. There are probably median T40 grades working in biglaw and others working for around minimum wage, in and out of the law. I'll leave it to you to guess which outcome is more common--beware that the salary distribution is strictly bimodal.

alright, i admit, i can't quite justify these conclusions. but just speaking generally, these are fairly common attitudes around here, no? well, whatever, i'm not saying anything new and interesting...
