In what context would you be mentioning the LSAT?

Yes
... if part of your story is how you got a 180 on the LSAT.

Law schools see your LSAT. They see your grades. The personal statement is for you to tell them something they don't already know, and shouldn't include number-droppings ("droppings," not "dropping," because it's so clearly a shitty thing to do).

I wrote a diversity statement and mentioned while I don't have a 4.0 I consider myself successful for other reasons. I think it seems okay, depending on how you use it.
As a general rule though, most people tend to say no.

Ok I get it. How about writing an addendum not making an excuse for your lsat score but saying what the increase in scores shows about you. Addendums make me feel whiney.
I haven't gotten the score increase yet but I am testing much higher than my first score.

use the time you're currently spending on this thread to study for the June LSAT, get a better score then you wonr't need to worry about writing an addendum.

I study a lot, but you are right this is a waste of time.

i had a 12 pt increase, didn't mention it unless the school specifically asked for that type of addendum. it speaks for itself.
