Honors program

Do I need to join the honors program if I want to go to a T14 law school? I heard that all T14 applicants took part in the honors program, but I fear that 1. my senior year I will have to write 2 thesis' (I'm writing one for my philosphy major too) and 2. My GPA might take a small hit.
