If you're no longer interested in a school, do you have to formally withdraw yourself from the school's acceptance list or just not pay a seat deposit?

It's more considerate to take the 30 seconds to send an email withdrawing yourself so the school knows they have a spot to offer to someone else.

Just withdraw, as long as you are 100% sure you won't attend.. It lets school estimate their yield sooner and offer more seats.

Fomally withdraw. It avoids the guessing game on the schools part.
