If not a flame, two things:
One, you are not URM.
Two, try applying ED to NU, pretty much your only shot at T14.

She might get in, she's definitely not getting a full ride, probably little to no tuition. It's the price you pay for being a splitter.

"One, you are not URM."
My parents are Aymara, a Native minority in Peru.

Since you're not considered by LSAC to be an URM, both are out. Illinois and Boston U. are your top ranked schools that you might get in.

Wow, I thought all Latinos were URM, especially indigenous peoples.

I think you have a good shot if you ED to Northwestern. WUSTL is also a good place to apply since they'll probably throw a lot of money at you for that LSAT and are ranked 19. Also, although you are technically not a URM, I think your heritage will add a lot to your application.
Congratulations on killing the LSAT btw.

FWIW, WUSTL threw me very little money 3.0/176, applied early.

No; though you are a minority, URM refers specifically to four minorities that are underrepresented in law schools based on their percentage of the overall US population: African Americans, Native Americans (I think this is limited to US tribes, or maybe North American?), Mexican Americans, and Puerto Ricans. Other minorities either aren't underrepresented or don't have enough of a presence in the US population, I think.
This write-up probably explains it better. You should still write a diversity statement and make sure to mention it in your application, since it can still help to make you more attractive to adcomms.

I'll definitely do that. The cuteness of your avatar distracted me for a bit, cuteness overload.

If you are Native American you can get in. The adcoms won't hesitate to let you get by as native because you boost their diversity and because they won't have any guidelines on what to do with someone of your ethnicity. Check the box for Native American, not for Hispanic and you'll have a ticket to ride in most of the T14.

Argument can be made for truthfulness (it says "American," not "North American" or "US American").

Clintonius, it is more than an argument to be made. It is just a fact. Her ancestors were in the western hemisphere before 1492. That is it. She is native. Look, I'll even prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt:
From Wikipedia, the ultimate reference source of all human knowledge
The term Native Americans may refer to:
In its broadest sense, the entirety of the indigenous peoples of the American continents:
Even if someone wanted to split hairs and say that Native American =/= American Indians (the term used on most applications) it would still amount to the same thing:
American Indian From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Redirected from American indian) American Indian may refer to:
Native Americans in the United States
Indigenous people of the Americas
and
The Aymara have existed in the Andes in what is now Western Bolivia, Southern Peru and Northern Chile for over 2,000 years

You don't have the authority to determine what sense LSAC intends for their words to be interpreted.

What! That is an outrage. Every reader interprets the text for his or herself. Fail Comparative Literature 101.

Agreed. I would say mark "Native American" and "Latino" and write "Aymara" for Native American tribal affiliation. It will at least get the adcomm to look up the Aymara.
Anyway, Northwestern. Try some other lower T14s as well. You're definitely interesting enough (minority group, tons of great charitable work) to have a chance at T14s other than Northwestern.
I would apply to:
UVA (splitter-friendly)
Northwestern (splitter-friendly)
Georgetown
Vanderbilt
WUSTL (splitter-friendly)
UIUC (splitter-friendly)
GW (gives money to a ton of people)
Alabama (In-state)
Washington & Lee (splitter-friendly)
And a few other schools that you really like.

I agree, from OP's description it sounds like she would fall under the category of "native American" rather than Hispanic.
The question is, does affirmative action work for native groups that our government DIDN'T directly screw out of their entire lives?
