Brooklyn is ranked higher, but is it really worth it?

To be honest, these are two of the worst schools in the country you could attend. Are there any other choices, or is there a way you could retake the LSAT and apply next year to better schools/better market/both?

The most prevalent advice you're going to get on this board: retake, reapply, as neither school is "worth it."

That said, I don't think the job prospects provided by either school are worth that kind of investment.

Edit: I suck at grammar.

Anecdotally, I understand that, for NYC, unless you're going T14 or Fordham, you should go to the cheapest possible option and claw your way like hell to the top. I'm probably not the best person to ask about this, though.

If you aren't T-14, Fordham, or free ride+stipend at any other school, I'd avoid NYC like the plague.

TBH, I might avoid NYC like the plague regardless, but that's a separate issue.

why? because it's saturated?

The legal market is saturated all over. NYC is currently super saturated, since it wanes and waxes with the overall economy. Thus the bleak choices for law schools.

edit: Really from the NALP data that exists, NYC schools aren't too much worse off than any other area, but are harder to get into due to the area's high desirability, add in retarded CoL and you've got a recipe for disaster if you didn't go in with a good plan.

What is your cheapest option, OP?

Yea I keep hearing people say that over and over again. NYC is saturated, not surprising it is the most populuated city in the country. I was just curious if he had any other reasons for avoiding nyc or if it was just the usual.
