That situation gives you a much better chance of getting into the top schools or good schools with $$ as opposed to the status quo. Go for it!otherside220 wrote:I hear that, but I just don't know how I would explain it. Can't be like "uhh yeah I studied." I feel like I've seen people on TLS bomb their LSATs and then retake and get in the 170s and apply and get rejected because it looks sketch.

Thanks! Call me greedy, it's ok!otherside220 wrote:r6_philly wrote:I am just petrified about scoring lower
170 is impressive. congrats on umich!
that's true...could you retake in june but still have your deposit at umich? or is that too risky because june is pretty close? i just think your gpa shows you're a hard working person and so chances of an improvement in your lsat score are pretty highr6_philly wrote:Thanks! 170 is impressive. congrats on umich!I want more money and more acceptances! 1-2 point can mean $20k more at umich, and 4 point may mean a full ride anywhere. The incentive is strong for me to retake (my GPA is going to get a bump too next month). But I am just scared of getting a few points lower and hard to explain out of it. It may be unfounded, but a 170/168 is going to be worse than 170 once no matter how you justify it.
