Top Law Schools

I didn't get into a T6 school and realized my life has no meaning, my only options are GULC or Cardoza (+50k),

I had always dreamed of working in biglaw, working 80+ hours a week, and completely burning out in five to ten years, but still retaining a sense of self-validation cause I'll still get to drop the H-bomb at cocktail parties

....and now that dream is slowly fading!

Please help, should I enroll at one of these two or jump off a bridge (was thinking Golden Gate Bridge? but open to suggestions)

A solid chunk of GULC's class get biglaw jobs. What are you whining about? You went to Harvard, have a PhD, and got into a T-14 school. Gimme a fu**in' break. Actually, on second thought, the Golden Gate Bridge awaits you.

PhD and now a JD? Just keep going to school for the rest of your life, that will give it meaning. Go get an MD and an MBA and then maybe decide what you want to do in the 'real' world.

Your life still has meaning, but law school is a worthless endeavor for you since you didn't get in to HYS.

Go do something else, since it's impossible to be a success in the legal field without going to a top school.

The Golden Gate Bridge is so cliche. Totally played out. You should think a lot more exotic. For example the Van Stadens Bridge in South Africa is really beautiful. The real question is why do you want to be a jumper? I get that it all boils down to one moment, like the moment of truth or something, where the entire choice is crystallized. But, it's still kinda lame. Elliott Smith stabbed himself in the chest with a knife. Twice no less! Now that's emo. He was probably listening to one of his albums while he did it just to add tragic irony.

Also, when you make light of the fact that you would kill yourself because you had something wonderful happen to you (like getting into a highly prestigious law school) it makes people who have had to live through the suicide of a loved one kind of sad . And April 1st was yesterday so you're doing it wrong.

I didn't mean for it to be preachy but I suppose it does come off that way. I also don't think it's really insensitive. I feel the need to make light of it myself because it's hard to deal with it when being serious. I guess I just gravitate towards being serious because I went through it.

Also, if you makes you feel any better, a girl punched me in the mouth last night haha.
