Did anyone actually make it into a reach school?

I applied to 6 of the T14 and pretty much every school from 15-25. I got into every school from USC down, and rejected from everywhere above. Did most people experience the same thing? Do admissions usually follow US News so strictly?

I've been lucky this cycle.
Reaches: Stanford, Columbia, NYU, CHicago, Berkeley
Almost 50/50 chance schools: Penn, Duke, Georgetown, UCLA, USC

Reaches do happen. Just look at LSN.

I didn't get into a single school that LSP listed as "consider". Here were some of the results, and the one surprising acceptance among the carnage of my T-14 applications.
Columbia (Rejection)
Chicago (Accepted)
Penn (Rejection)
Michigan (Waitlist)
Duke (Waitlist)
Northwestern (Rejection)
Virginia (Rejection)
Cornell (Accepted)
Georgetown (Rejection)
I sort of expected a Cornell acceptance, but the Chicago one was a HUGE reach for me. I honestly only applied since the fee was waived and still can't believe they took a chance on me. Shame the rest didn't turn out as well.
