say for instance you ed to a school and is then waitlisted and put into the regular cycle, does that ed still remain, or are you considered a regular app?

Also, if you are into a school where you ed'ed but is eligible for need-based aid, does the school have to help you out or are you on your own

Thanks in advance TLSers

I know that when you get waitlisted, you are no longer bound by ED.

Not sure about the money though

This is strictly based on what I have read on TLS not on any solid facts:

1) you're considered a regular applicant and no longer bound by ED.
2) ED shouldn't affect your need-based aid but it does affect any merit based aid, since merit aid's point is to encourage candidates who'd otherwise consider a different school to apply.
