Do Law Schools Care About Undergrad?

Do law schools care at all about where you went to undergrad or is it just numbers?
Is a 3.5 at Hofstra seen as a better marker than a 3.0 at Columbia for undergrad? I have friends who left highly respected undergrads to go to easier schools where they went from 2.0's to a 4.0. Do law schools at all care that some schools don't give out A+'s, and that in most of those classes, only 10% of students get an A or is it all the same to them?
I am asking this, because at my undergrad it was virtually impossible to have a 3.8. I was given awards at graduation for having a 3.6, but now almost feel like I have to have an addendum explaining the discrepancy between my LSAT and GPA. Call me Mr. Kfetcher, but that makes me angry

Yes, some schools do care. Impossible to say how much, but I know for an absolute fact, from the head of my admissions office, that my school cares about the rigors of your UG program. A 3.5 is still a lot better than a 3.0, however, wherever you went. We're talking about much smaller differences, at the margins. At my UG, 3.6x qualified for magna cum laude, and this was duly noted. Numbers do still reign supreme, but this should provide some comfort.
