my school doesn't do the standard A = 4.0 B = 3.33
instead it does A = 4.0, AB = 3.5, B = 3.0, BC = 2.5, C = 2.0, CD = 1.5, D = 1, F = 0

also professors can pick how they distribute the grades, for example in one class an A is 91+ and in another an A is 95+. What impact if any will this have on my LSAC GPA??

LSAC calculates your undergrad GPA differently than most schools, domestic as well as international. Here is the site with a chart of how LSAC calculates your grades:

so if I get a 98+ I'll get an A+ even though my school doesn't give A+'s? and they'll switch my AB for whatever is most appropriate?

The 98 would only come into play if your transcript reflected 98/100.

No, I don't think they look at the percentages. I think they just look at the letter grade. If you go to that site, the chart is mapped out pretty well. But keep in mind that the schools to which you apply will also receive copies of your actual transcripts. They can see the level of difficulty in your coursework. So if a person took a bunch of fluff classes just to get their degree and inflate their GPA, that won't mean as much as a person who took really tough classes and got a 3.7. Or so the adcomms say...

That's how LSAC does it too.
