It's a unique cycle, so no one really can say for sure.

Overall, it means you're less likely to get in if you're borderline and MUCH more likely to have to pay full price anywhere you do get in.

I wouldn't bother applying to borderline schools at this point.

There is no exact way of knowing, but basically every day you wait your chances drop. So, you have basically hurt your chances the most you possibly can by waiting until now. How much that is I have no idea, though. Could be a lot, could be not much.

so is it just a given there are no scholarships available at top schools (say top 30) at this point? even with great numbers ?

and what if someone with a scholly withdraws, do schools generally re-award that money to someone else or save it for next year?

Very very badly. For instance, several of the schools that I have been admitted to are waitlisting or outright rejecting all applicants with my numbers now. Some of them my numbers are even way high for. I think they are afraid of overenrolling.

Yeah I mean, if you actually want to try to make some sense of it... basically those with a certain set of numbers who applied EA or very early in the cycle could be admitted while those with very similar numbers applying now could be rejected.

I certainly underestimated the EA boost.

I applied very last day of cycle last year to 13 schools (some I strongly considered safeties) and was rejected from every single one. This year was much easier since most of my app materials were done (LOR and PS) and I've spent about 6 months on these boards. Highly recommend waiting it out a year (and signing up for the next LSAT for another shot at boosting the score.)

Im in a similar boat as far as the whole "to wait or not to wait" issue. The vibe I got from everyone was if after everything Ive done this year it'll kill me not to take a shot than go for it and if Im not happy reapply. Might also re-take in June if I do and be the first apps in in Sept.

I had to leave during games in DEC LSAT and got a slow start on the process this year. Got a 161 in dec, waited and just got back a 166 (3-5 pts lower than my PT's kinda bummed, since my GPA is 3.18)

I sent in a bunch this weekend (Temple, Villanova, American, Fordham, W &M, W & L) Going to apply to Maryland, GW, St Johns and Cardozo this week.
Applied to BK and Richmond at their deadlines. Just got admitted to Richmond and they asked if my FAFSA was in, so I'm hoping that's a sign for some $. I spoke to GW and they said they had given out all of the merit aid they had until they hear back from people for what that's worth. Ill let you know how my cycle goes. I'm chalking up a couple hundred bucks to the "worst comes to worst, you wait and reapply" theory.

This had me ridiculously worried... Then I looked at the dates. *TO CLARIFY* Applying at this point in the cycle hasn't hurt my chances too much, has it?
