Quick Question about Michigan ED.
Early Decision to Michigan:
LSAT: 173
GPA: 3.42
LSP says "Admit" but I'm skeptical. What is your gut feeling on this?

Really??? 7-1 on Deny?
Damnit. So much for trusting that LSP would be somewhat reliable...

just fyi, no one gets rejected from the ED pool at Mich (at least that I'm aware of). You get rolled over to the RD group.

Re: Quick Question about Michigan ED.
Well I guess I could re-phrase the question as "admitted through ED program/deferred to regular admissions"
At least to this poll, it seems that I have an even shot at getting in through ED program. I wonder how reliable LSP is in general. It doesn't seem to be that close of a reflection of the gut feeling that people have shown on TLS thru this small poll.. But then again, it's just a self-selecting poll... hrmmm

I was deferred from Michigan ED. And then rejected. Sad me.Veritas wrote:just fyi, no one gets rejected from the ED pool at Mich (at least that I'm aware of). You get rolled over to the RD group.

165/3.92. You have my desired LSAT and I have your desired GPA. Let's merge.

Are you Asian? Because my parents are pretty strict about becoming one flesh with people of different color.

No, but I was the only non-Asian on my high school tennis team, so you could consider me a part of the family.

You're definitely on the border with that GPA according to LSN. If you really like Michigan and are willing to be a summer starter, you might want to ED to boost your odds of acceptance.

Re: Quick Question about Michigan ED.
This poll is actually about what'll happen if I ED. I will ED, actually, since Michigan is my top choice... only because I don't want to risk being rejected by all of the schools that I've applied to that are T10.tallboone wrote:You're definitely on the border with that GPA according to LSN. You're right on the edge I would think. Make sure you write additional essays and everything is perfect. If you know you absolutely want Michigan, then do it. If you decide not to, you got a shot at NYU and maybe Chicago (Columbia not so much).
