NYU Criminal Law Scholars Program

What kind of people get this sort of award? My softs aren't fantastic but I've worked at a small-sized DA's office every summer throughout undergrad where I worked on several felony cases including a murder trial that got a good amount of media coverage. I don't have a graduate degree or substantial work experience after undergrad in criminal law, but my job at the DA is what made me want to go to law school in the first place. I have high hopes to work for the DOJ and prosecute at the federal level. Are my softs a joke for this award? Is it worth my time to apply? I look at some of the profiles of the international law scholars and they've done just about everything short of curing AIDS and ending world poverty.

Not sure about your chances, but you don't have to apply for the law scholars programs...you are automatically considered during the financial aid process IIRC.
