To update or not to update

3.6 gpa, 3.54 last semester. The 3.6 is a serious upward trend though and the 3.54 would look kind of bad...

Columbia and BU wanted me to update but I can't update just for them, if I send my transcript to LSAC like they asked, everyone gets my grades.

Also, if it makes any difference, so far my cycle has been

NYU, Columbia, Duke, BC, Georgetown=waitlists/deferrals

No acceptances, yes I have had the worlds shittiest cycle.

So Columbia and BU explicitely asked you to update and you are considering not doing it? A 0.06 change in GPA doesn't look nearly as bad as ignoring their request.

I can't say much about the schools in your list, but 3.6 -> 3.54 is miniscule in my opinion.

As I understand it OP has an upward trend that has brought his GPA up to 3.6. Thus, they have had above or well above a 3.6 in recent semesters, below or well below a 3.6 in earlier semesters.

So yeah, OP, getting 3.8s or 3.9s or 4.0s and then back to 3.54 sucks, but they asked for it, what can you do?
