Schools that are more forgiving about low GPAs...

The title basically says it. I've been having a tough start to my college career so far GPA-wise, but I still really need to get into a top school, especially since I'm considering a JD/MBA. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone has either overcome a horrible start and still gotten into a top law school or if anyone knows law schools that give more emphasis on the LSAT/work experience instead of GPA. Also, if you want to hear more about my situation, feel free to PM me.

What is your GPA/LSAT score?

Northwestern, if you can bust out a 172+.

None of this applies if the GPA is a 2.2.

I think that's aberrational even for NU. Then again, maybe I'm just upset that someone took my "lowest GPA at NU" title...

UVA (170+)
Comments like this hurt, because I'm over that, and my GPA isn't terrible, yet I'm waitlisted at UVA.

Think how much more you could have slacked and then just ED'ed at NU? And the 2.1 doesn't even have a huge LSAT. 171 I think.
I'm guessing he has some great softs.

I actually meant more within the T14, because I've heard that outside of that, you won't really get a good job. Plus, I'm looking at a JD/MBA from a place with a good law school and fairly good (i.e. T15) business school, so GMU, Indiana, Illinois, WUSTL/Minnesota don't really cut it (well maybe WUSTL, but the others not so much).
Also, my GPA isn't horrendous like below 3.0 or anything. I'm just having a horrible term so far, but I should be able to get at least a 3.5 overall.

Penn, NU, Chicago, and Columbia should be who you are looking at.

3.5 171 and I have had great luck this cycle... check my profile for more info but a 3.5 can definitely get you into a T10

What about places like UVA/Michigan/Cornell? They all have pretty good business schools and are T14s, or are their JD/MBA programs not so great?
Also, I'm just curious, but how much does 1 or 2 bad terms hurt one's GPA? Like, I'll probably only get a 3.1-3.2, maybe 3.3 max because I've been sick and not done that well on a couple of midterms, but if my grades are good every other term from now on, is it still possible to end with a 3.6+?

With a 3.5, a 170+ will get you into T7-14. A 173+ gives you a decent shot at Chicago/NYU. 175+ makes CLS possible.

I'm not exactly the best source for Jd/mba, but their MBA's aren't as good. As to if they are good enough, I don't know.
