You do not have to opt in to google buzz, google is automatically making a profile with your frequent contacts visable. If you are a like me, you don't want law schools to see what other schools or people I am emailing.

I feel duped. I assumed when I clicked "nah, go to my inbox" in response to the "try google buzz" window I would not be buzzing. Why cant they keep this shit simple... I wish facebook would die instead of infecting everything.

At the bottom of your gmail screen there is a "turn off buzz" link. I think its very shady of them to hide it out of the way like that!

actually if you go to the help section, it says that "turn off buzz" just takes it off your menu, you have to block everyone/delete your profile to totally turn if off or something....im still trying to figure it out.
